Alyne has dressed up as Snow White's wicked stepmother for Halloween about a million years in a row (except for the times she's been a cat.) The wicked stepmother costume suits her personality very well. Actually, whoever bought Alyne that costume is a genius because they found the exact costume to fit Alyne’s evil streak (you think she’d be a nice person, but most of the time she plain old isn't, which is, in part, why she is so much fun. You think that you are playing in her room with her and bonding and then, without warning, she pushes you out of her room and shuts the door in your face. You don't necessarily expect that from her on the surface.)
As far as I'm concerned, that costume shouldn't be necessarily reserved for Halloween usage. It would fit Alyne just fine on, say, any random Tuesday.
Alyne has her own accessories to accompany her role as the evil queen: she finds her hand just as fascinating as the evil stepmother found her mirror on the wall. Alyne and the evil stepmother both have minions to do their dirty work. The stepmother has her throne, Alyne has her swivel chair. They're both beautiful, imperial, and a little bit more than slightly evil.
P.S.- I am a glutton for punishment, so, I am going to participate in NaNoWriMo. I won't be contributing any posts to this blog in November. Happy Halloween and I’ll see you on the flip side!
